A difficult bloody woman...
Is it my imagination, or is the sky dark with lame ducks … or is it chickens coming home to roost?
Yes, an unforgivable mixed metaphor, but a bird analogy seems to fit the bill… Now I’m not suggesting that our Theresa should be described as a ‘bird’, but bird-brained seems very appropriate. Apparently she’s going to be “bloody difficult with Junker over ‘Brexit’…” No, she’s not living in a different galaxy, she’s living in cloud-cuckoo land.
Britain’s decision to leave the EU has shaken it (the EU) to the core, and if our prime minister thinks she is going to do a Thatcher-handbag on those wicked Europeans, her ideas really are for the birds. The very existence of the EU is threatened - the well-being of four or five hundred million people. They are going to fight like hell to ensure that Briton is not, cannot, be seen to benefit from leaving. If it did, the whole enterprise could crumble.
Obviously I blame the likes of Farage, Johnson and their fellow-travellers. Have they, ostrich-like, stuck their collective heads in the sand? I know where I would like to stick their heads…
Of course the real villain of the piece is Cameron. His £25,000 shed is not going to protect him from the ire of the British People when the reality of this catastrophe really becomes apparent.
